Valhal Outdoor cast iron cleaning and care paste

Valhal Outdoor wax is produced in Holland, it is perfect for taking care of your cast iron pots and accessories.

The wax is solid, but you can spread it easily with a sponge or cloth. As it has been chosen to work exclusively with natural ingredients, the wax has a beautiful natural light yellow color and smells of beeswax.

You can spread the VH.WAX directly on your cast iron pan or accessory, but for the best absorption we recommend the following steps:

1. Place the skillet or cast iron accessory in the oven and preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Let your garment warm up for 20 minutes.*
2. While the cast iron is still hot, rub all sides with Valhal Outdoor's VH.WAX with a tea towel or paper towel.
3. Rub the cast iron again with another clean cloth to get a thin, even coat of wax.
4. Put the pan or cast iron accessory back in the oven for 40 minutes at 250 degrees. This allows the coating to cure.
5. Depending on how much you want to sand and/or grease your cast iron item, you can repeat this process two or three times.

* If you have the opportunity to perform these steps outside, such as at a barbecue, we recommend that you do it outside. Especially during pass 4, quite a bit of smoke can be released.
