The heart of any Dolcevita TURBO ELITE barbecue is the body. The way this is designed and built determines its efficiency and durability. With the new Dolcevita TURBO ELITE barbecue series, the fully welded firebox in porcelain enamelled steel has been completely redesigned. By building the hearth and the front panel in a single piece, a stronger frame is obtained which is able to guarantee long life to the Dolcevita TURBO ELITE barbecues . All Dolcevita barbecues in the TURBO ELITE series have double-walled fireboxes and hoods, so double the insulation allows for greater temperature control and better heat retention. The cooking surfaces and roasting area heat up more efficiently using less gas: All this reduces carbon residues.
RQT burners.
The ceramic burner combination with glass lid provides the best cooking, increasing radiant heat. This has two advantages:
- FOOD Dries LESS because less hot air circulates around the food.
- GREATER EFFICIENCY A higher percentage of energy is used to focus radiant heat directly onto the food, rather than heating the air which dissipates quickly.
How do the RQT burners of Dolcevita TURBO ELITE barbecues work?
- The heat builds up in the quartz glass lid which then re-radiates it in a geometric arc. RESULT: Food is cooked through heat radiation rather than hot air.
- The quartz glass lid keeps the hot combustion air inside the combustion zone for longer. RESULT: The heat intensifies under the lid and the hot gases have no direct route to the food.
- Combustion takes place close to the surface of the burner, so that it overheats. RESULT: Most of the energy goes into heating the ceramic instead of producing hot gases.
- Minimizes interaction with radiation and thus allows for increased transmission.
- Much higher temperatures (over 1200°C).
- Better mechanical strength and impact resistance.
